Description
When providing crisis intervention over the hotline or in a shelter, domestic violence advocates may come across a wide variety of challenging situations and opportunities to build positive relationships and rapport with survivors.

In this interactive webinar, we learned the fundamental skills to navigate these situations effectively. Advocates discussed hotline scenarios and learned how to respond in a trauma-informed and impactful way. In addition, this training focused on how shelter rules can help or hinder survivor-defined advocacy. Advocates also learned strategies to create healing environments for survivors of domestic violence in shelter settings.
