Advocacy for Parent and Child Survivors

Restorative Approaches: Supporting Survivors, Parents, & Children of Color (APSC115)

Description
ODVN’s youth advocacy caucus met to learn from a panel of knowledgeable leaders who shared heritage and culture, offering survivor-defined approaches to connect with children and youth in culturally relevant ways. We learned from advocates specializing in working with Muslim, Hispanic, Somali, Asian, and LGBTQIA+ communities. This meeting helped us create better programming and foster meaningful connections with the children and parents of color that you serve. With this information, you will enhance your advocacy skills and agency impact.
